Ever since the untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14 2020, his fans have been demanding CBI investigation to look further into the matter. The ‘Dil Bechara’ actor’s death ignited the debate of ‘nepotism’ and everyone took out their rage on Bollywood biggies and expressed their grief on social media.

However, his fans have been continuously fighting for Sushant’s justice by demanding a CBI enquiry and hashtags like #WhyDelayInCBIForSSR, #PMModiCBIForSSR, #CBIMustForSushant, #CBIForSonOfBihar have been trending almost every other day on Twitter.

At a time when fans and many personalities from the film fraternity have been demanding CBI inquiry in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, now BJP MP Subramanian Swamy has written to PM Narendra Modi requesting a CBI probe into the case.

In his letter, Swamy wrote, “I urge you... that you may consider advising the chief minister of Maharashtra directly or through the Governor to agree to a CBI inquiry. The Mumbai Police already has its hands full with coronavirus pandemic issues and maintaining law and order under the circumstances. Hence, this laborious duty of conducting this inquiry with public credibility is being strained. A CBI inquiry would be the only way to retain public confidence.” Recently, Swamy in a live conversation with advocate Ishkaran Singh Bhandari, who he appointed to process all the facts, said that he raised this subject because a young guy with a promising career and growing popularity suddenly dies by suicide. Depression could be common in the world of cinema, but why was he depressed?

On the other hand, Mumbai Police is reportedly coming close to finalise the probe report in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death investigation. The reports of the investigation will be submitted soon.
