Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case: former Cabinet Minister Subramanian Swamy backs demand for CBI inquiry
While the Mumbai police continue the investigation of the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case, the demand for a CBI probe grows. Hashtags like #CBIForSonOfBihar and #CBIMustForSushantSinghRajput have been trending on Twitter for quite some time now.
BJP MP Subramanian Swamy on Friday advocated for a probe by CBI into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The noted Supreme Court lawyer said he would pursue the case if the deceased actor’s family agrees to come forward and demand a CBI probe.
Swamy said, at present, we are not demanding any arrest in the case, but there are many doubts in lakhs of people’s minds in relation to Rajput’s death, those needs to be cleared.
Subramanian Swamy said on Twitter that he has instructed Ishkaran Singh Bhandari, lawyer and political analyst, to look into the matter in-depth and find out if the case is fit for a CBI investigation. "I have asked Ishkaran to look into facts of Sushant Singh Rajput death case & see whether it's a fit Case for CBI investigation. Then accordingly to see justice is done. For Updates follow @ishkarnBHANDARI (sic)," read his tweet.

In the following tweet, Swamy wrote, "Presently in the Sushant Rajput case, Ishkaran is looking to see if Sections 306 and/or 308 of India Penal Code read with Article 21 of the Constitution is applicable. That is, whether accepting the Police version of it being a suicide, was the Actor driven to it? (sic)"

Without mentioning any names, Swamy said why some Bollywood personalities are terming Sushant Singh Rajput’s death as a suicide. “Why do they have so much of interest,?” he questioned.
During his conversation, he said it is very necessary for parents’ consent to demand a CBI probe before the court. Swamy assured of not charging any penny for fighting the case in the court.
