Vidya Balan reacts to outrage over Sushant Singh Rajput's death, says 'People should let him rest in peace now, no one can be blamed if someone decides to take their life’

The discussion on Sushant Singh Rajput's tragic death seems unending. Now, Actor Vidya Balan has said that speculating about why actor Sushant Singh Rajput took his life is unfair to him and his loved ones. A debate around the treatment of outsiders in the film industry has been ignited in the aftermath of SSR demise.

Vidya Balan in an interview said: “Now the point is rightly or wrongly we don't know, because we do not know why Sushant's took the step he did. To show respect is to keep quiet. To speculate is... people can come up with all sorts of theories and that’s unfair to him more than anyone else, and his loved ones, who’re probably grieving.”

Vidya Balan said no one knows what made Sushant's take such a severe step and that, probably, no one will ever know. Stating how there should be no shame in accepting that a person can’t get through a difficult phase in their life, she urged people to let him rest in peace now.

“But no one can be blamed if someone decides to take their own life,” the actress said. “Let him really rest in peace.”

 Vidya Balan said that she feels speculating on Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise is absolutely disrespectful and people should refrain from coming to 'judgments' about the vulnerable phase of his life during his final days.

The actress continued, “I’ve been through ups and downs and I’ve had all sorts of experiences in the film industry. I am not saying nepotism does not exist, but I didn’t let that stand in my way. That said, everyone is different. It’s a tumultuous time and it really helps to talk to someone.”
