A WhatsApp chat between Sushant Singh Rajput's business manager Shruti Modi and actor Rhea Chakraborty has provided more details about the recently uncovered drug angle in Sushant Singh’s death case. The messages reportedly show that Rhea Chakraborty was trying to get Sushant Singh Rajput to quit Marijuana.


The exchange is from January 2020. In the conversation, an incident where Sushant Singh Rajput cried during a meeting, followed by a message that says the late actor would seek treatment immediately. In those chats beweet Rhea and Shruti, a contact saved as Shruti 2 is seen saying that Sushant said he quit weed since yesterday. Shruti also said that he has gone off to sleep & that she is leaving for a day. The messages also suggest that despite constant medical care, Sushant Singh Rajput was ‘still not healing’ & that his doctor should be consulted about his further treatment.


In other chats records, it is hinted that Rhea Chakraborty was allegedly using illegal drugs such as Hashish, MDMA, and Marijuana. “Incase we speak about hard drugs, I have not been doing too much. Tried MDMA once,” Rhea Chakraborty allegedly messaged a man named Gaurav Arya, an employee at a talent management agency to administer a drug to Sushant, asking him, “You have MD?” The messages were accessed by Times Now.


The actress’ lawyer Satish Maneshinde denied all the allegations of drug usage. Satish issued a statement that read, ‘Rhea has never consumed drugs in her life ever. She is ready for a blood test.’


Responding to the messages, Vikas Singh, Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer, said that it was ‘highly illegal’ for drugs to be administered to Sushant Singh's without his knowledge.


Sushant's was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14.
