Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut reacted sharply to actor and MP Jaya Bachchan’s “thaali” comments in the Rajya Sabha, claiming that she didn't receive anything on platter.
Through a Zero Hour mention in Rajya Sabha, Jaya Bachchan on Tuesday said that the entertainment industry (Bollywood) was being flogged by social media and asked the BJP lead govt to protect & support it.
In a clear reference to Kangana Ranaut's and Lok Sabha MP Ravi Kishan's statements on the alleged film industry drug cartel, Jaya said that she completely disagreed and really embarrassed and ashamed that one of the Lok Sabha members, who is also from the film industry, spoke. People who have made a name in this industry (Bollywood) have called it a gutter.
“Jis thali mein khate hai Usme chhed karte hai. Galat baat hai,” she said.
Kangana Ranaut had slammed Jaya Bachchan on Tuesday and she upped her attack on Wednesday.
Kangana take to her Twitter handle and wrote, Jaya ji which plate are you referring? A thaali was given item numbers and a romantic scene were offered and that too only after sleeping with hero. I taught feminism to the film industry (Bollywood), decorated the ‘thaali’ (Plate) with patriotic films. This is my own plate Jaya ji, it is not yours.”

Kangana Ranaut’s tweet drew sharp criticism from Swara Bhasker, who called the actress comment “sickening” & “shameful”.
