Bombay High Court grants interim protection from arrest to Kangana Ranaut and sister; both to appear before the police on Jan 8, 2021


On Tuesday, in relief to Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut & her sister Rangoli, the Bombay High Court granted them interim protection from any coercive action, including arrest, by the Mumbai Police in an FIR registered against them for alleged hate posts on social and electronic media.

The Bombay High Court (HC) also recorded and accepted a statement made by the sisters’ lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee that they will respond to summons & appear before the investigating officer of Bandra police station Mumbai on January 8 between 12:00pm & 02:00 pm & record their statements. The High Court also noted that investigation in the case will continue.
